Agenda Item #18

Item Title
Approve Resolution to Dispose of Tynes Parkway right-of-way and transfer ownership of drainage ponds (Revised)

Issue/Rationale

Tynes Parkway is currently owned by the School Board of Clay County, Florida.  This action transfers ownership of the road right-of-way to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and the retention ponds east of the road to the developer (Pine Ridge Plantation Owners Association, Inc.).  This will allow continuation of the road and development to the north of Tynes Elementary.

The developer will make improvements to the roadway as required by the BCC, and the School District will be relieved of responsibility for the maintenance of the retention ponds and the road.

Recommended Action

Approve Resolution to dispose of Tynes Parkway right-of-way to the Board of County Commissioners of Clay County, Florida and transfer ownership of drainage ponds at Tynes Elementary to Pine Ridge Plantation Owners Association, Inc.
